The Desecrats

Shun the desecrats  
who seek to upend
truth with pacts.
Come let us blend
like women and men. 
 
Hence their diktat:
Mores end,
not by rope and ax,
but with subtle bend
of sharpened pen.
 
Beware republicrats,
who tax and rend
liberty from the lax.
Lest once again
honed steel amend.
